On La Maison

La Maison as I have heard from my EL (BA European Languages) classmate means ‘home’. The place perfectly fits its description. It exuded a homey feel through its denim placemats, wooden tables and upholstered rattan chairs. They are famed for the steaks, seafood and ribs.

  • On Haiku

Haiku wasn’t originally part of the tour. But they prepared something for the bloggers, and who are we to refuse?

Haiku, being commonly known as the traditional Japanese form of poetry, flaunt Japanese culture not just in poems but in our very own starfish-shaped platters. It offers a generous set of Japanese dishes including salads, sushi, sashimi, tempura, teppanyaki and the likes. I love how the interiors complemented the food. Indeed, ambience meets good food. Something one should really experience.

  • On Madison Grill

The way to Cecile’s heart is her stomach.

The first leg of the Food Tour by SPOT.ph took place in TriNoma Mall. I believe I have devoured the most gastronomic delights in the shortest period of time. I was busog-to-the-fullest (I had to fast until the next tour) all the same, I was definitely satisfied.

The Madison Grill was the first stop of our tour. And being the first meant it was overwhelming for both parties. The staff of the restaurant were still trying to get the hang of the whole food tour event, and so were we, the newbie tourists. Chef Lou saved our asses from all the uneasiness by giving us a brief overview of the restaurant and the concept behind it.

  • The best things in life are for free.

And indeed, it never fails. I am currently participating a 2-day food tour by SPOT.ph. The first leg of the said event was held last Friday (April 25) at TriNoma. The next one will be tomorrow (April 28) at Serendra and Bonifacio High Street.

I’m not about to spill the blow-by-blow account of events since it’s not yet done. And I would like to give justice to all the restaurants who took part in this event by featuring them one by one. Oh boy. I hope I could finish this one.

For the meantime, I’ll be starving myself for more food tasting tomorrow. Two more spot passes and I’m off for some special treat. A million thanks to my brother, Mikko, whom I convinced to sign me in.

To the Pink Group, hope to see you all tomorrow! We will conquer Serendra and High Street. Rawwwwr!

Looking to attend the tour but low on cash? Credit card offers can be a confusing subject
to understand sometimes. There are many cash back credit cards out there to pick from, and even more reward credit cards. For more info about credit card offers, the web can be a fantastic resource.
