You may have noticed Recipes by Café Metro one too many times and wondered what it cooked. Haha. Its minimal interior plays barely with the shades of white, gray and beige. The rationale behind this is that dynamic colors and flavors should only come from its food, which is basically the heart of the restaurant.
Recipes serve Asian meals emphasizing Filipino dishes and giving it with a twist. Favorites include the Crispy Tilapia, General’s Chicken and Gising Gising. All three actually scored tie in my tasting. The Crispy Tilapia was very tasty. Ask Mikko about it, I remember him consuming almost half of the serving. The General’s Chicken was deep-fried and dipped in sauce and served with eggplant. The group decided that it was the bestseller. Only a few enjoyed the Gising Gising, but I personally want this. It was chopped sitaw with a faint spicy relish.
Since it’s not very pricey, I am thinking of going back next week. Haha

I always ignore this restaurant because of its dull look. I love minimalism but this place doesn’t look like it could serve tasty food. Boy, was I wrong!
I loved General’s Chicken! The skin was perfectly crisp! I asked my mom and brother to eat there the next day. hehe
HEAR HEAR! It definitely changed my impression. For real? Kumain kayo agad ulit doon? You must have enjoyed the food that much.
BTW, Santa Fe Nachos were really yummy!
